Hunan Vocational College of Foreign Languages (HVCFL) is an ordinary full-time college, approved by Hunan Provincial People Government and has registered with the Ministry of Education of the People Republic of China. HVCFL is so far the only ordinary college in Central South China, characterized by its multi-curriculum set-up specialized in Foreign Languages.
HVCFL has two campuses, one in Changsha for higher vocational education from senior high school level, the other in LiuYang for secondary vocational education from junior high school level. There are about 7,000 full time students on campus. The staff consists of 400 full-time teachers and 17 overseas experts from 10 countries.
The college focuses on foreign languages education with 7 departments --- Business English Department, Business Japanese Department, Multilingual Department, Economic Management Department, Computer Science Department, Human, Arts and Science Department and the Department of Fundamental Courses. Foreign language specialties include English, Japanese, Korean, French, Russian, German, Spanish, and Portuguese. In addition, we have some up-to-date specialties such as International Economy & Trade, Secretary, Accounting, Marketing, Hotel Management, Logistics Management, Computer Information Management, Computer Application Technology.
HVCFL has fostered large numbers of excellent talents, widely recognized by the society. The college has signed employment cooperative agreements with CITS and another 1,000 enterprises nationwide. The employment rate of our graduates is above 98 percent for the past three years.
